FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
Modeling enables researchers to design, explore and simulate early stage systems without the cost and complexity of acutal experimentation.
Improving the understanding of the nervous system will enable the research of tomorrow to expand the impact and significance of technology.
In Partnership with the Neural Engineering Center (NEC) in the Biomedical Engineering Department of Case, fundamental studies are conducted through a coordinated group of scientists and students with the common goal of analyzing the function of the nervous system, developing methods to restore damaged neurological function, and creating artificial neuronal systems by integrating physical, chemical, mathematical and engineering tools.
